Multimedia Design and production

There are a variety of Multimedia Design and Production programs offered at Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) to help meet industry career demands. Located just outside of Seattle, Washington, home to many of the multimedia design and production industry leaders, LWTech offers the latest, cutting-edge programs.

Digital Design

In the Digital Design AAS-T degree in the Multimedia Design and Production program students create visual graphics for websites, content for mobile devices, and design layouts and interactive documents for print or screen-based publishing using industry-standard software. Students learn in face-to-face, online, and hybrid classes. They conduct industry research to identify career pathways, and learn professional practices including copyright, file management, portfolio development and workplace ethics. Students culminate their learning experience with a showcase of their portfolio to industry professionals.

Students also have the opportunity to earn certifications in Adobe Creative Suite.

Low-income students in this program who are eligible for the Pell Grant or State Need Grant have an opportunity to apply for up to $5, 000 a year in scholarships. Check out Future Tech Stars to learn more.

Evening Hybrid Degree Program

The evening hybrid program in Multimedia Design & Production is a flexible evening program for students who are pursuing their AAS-T degree while continuing to work during the day. The "hybrid" format simply means part of the course is face-to-face, and part of it is online, decreasing commute time and increasing convenience for busy schedules. Students who enroll for Fall Quarter can complete an AAS-T degree in just eight quarters taking evening and hybrid classes.

Regulations published in the Federal Register on October 29, 2010 require institutions to report aggregated information for students who enrolled in Title IV eligible educational programs that lead to gainful employment in a recognized occupation (GE programs). These regulations include the disclosure of tuition and fees, books and supplies, on-campus room and board, number of students completing the program, median student loan debt, and job placement rates which must be available to all prospective students. Below lists disclosures for Title IV eligible certificates offered within this academic program. Please visit LWTech's Gainful Employment page for more details.
