Careers in Multimedia Design

An animator designs, develops, and produces large and/or small scale digital animations for use in instruction, media or internet applications.

Graphic Designer

A graphic designer produces visual solutions for the communication needs of clients, using a mix of creative skills and commercial awareness. Designers need imaginative flair, awareness of current trends in the visual arts, working knowledge of the latest computer packages and an understanding of material costs and time limits.

Instructional Designer

An instructional designer conduct needs analysis to identify all important training needs. Designs and develops training curriculum, as well as developing multimedia /web story boards and training. Also measures and evaluates the effectiveness of training.

Multimedia Developer

A multimedia developer works with today's newest advances in desktop computer technology. A developer draws on the skills of the computer programmer and the visual artist to integrate graphics, text, and digital audio and video with interactivity. This multimedia content can be delivered on CD-ROM, over the World Wide Web, or even on floppy disk.

Web Designer

A web designer is responsible for creating the look and feel of a website to include graphical user interface, navigation, layout, and file structures.

Web Developer

A web developer provides the technical expertise to implement and support all aspects of a website to achieve a dynamic, interactive, navigable, and attractive site, helping integrate, and maintain complementary technologies as they evolve.
