Program Description
Interactive Multimedia Technology is a two-year program that will enable students to become competent in creating, designing, and producing interactive multimedia products and services. This program of study emphasizes the development of digitally-generated or computer-enhanced media. Students will use multimedia technology to develop products/programs for business, training, entertainment, communications, and marketing. Skills learned are suitable for articulation into two- or four-year degree programs. Interactive Multimedia Technology is a College Tech Prep Program - students successfully completing this program may receive advanced college credits.

Students who exhibit knowledge and skills in the Interactive Multimedia Technology
program and meet the requirements for early placement may participate in early
placement in a related field during the second semester of their senior year.
Activities
As an Interactive Multimedia Technology student, you will be a member of Business Professionals of America. Business Professionals of America is a student-oriented organization designed to expand your citizenship and leadership skills.
In addition to Business Professionals of America at Millstream Career and Technology Center, you may participate in many student activities at your home school such as music, sports, and club activities.
Salary Information
Earnings vary by the worker’s experience, reputation, and employer. Nationally, the median wage for multimedia artists and animators is $24.69 per hour. Half of all multimedia artists and animators earn between $18.74 and $33.68 per hour. In Ohio, the median wage is $21.19 per hour. Half of all multimedia artists and animators earn between $17.58 and $24.60 per hour.
