Edifier 2.1 Multimedia Speaker System
Verified Purchase I've had these for just under a year now. I use them daily.
Packaging: Box comes as it is. Shows you exactly what is inside, and for some that may be an issue. Interior packaging - pretty good. Everything was kept isolated, and I had no doubts that this thing wasn't damaged at all because of how beefy the packaging looked.
Clarity: Anything past 50-75%, things can get a poppy and fuzzy. Though this mainly depends on the quality of what you're pushing through these things. The twin speakers do a pretty good job of giving both mids and highs. Perhaps too well, because the mids get drowned out. The Bass is strong and you can feel it. The mids are a bit drowned out, but you can tweak them with software, for which these things are absolutely amazing once you tweak them a bit.
The volume knob is sturdy, just don't push down on it while operating - it'll get knotchy and I can feel and hear it grinding. It's heavy enough with it's non slip feet to feel planted, but not so much that it's hard to move about.
The entire unit feels a bit cheap though, on the speakers and the bass unit. But I didn't buy these because of how they felt, I bought these because of how they looked and how they sound. The foam on the outside of the speakers would probably rip if they took a fall and slid across a rough wooden floor. But...how often are you going to do that? (probably never - these aren't headphones)
